The RIBA Stirling Prize is one of the most prestigious awards in building design, recognising the most significant contributions to British architecture.

Whilst the construction and engineering industries made strong recoveries in the first half of 2022, there are multiple headwinds on track to bring new disruption.

The aesthetic of a building is considered to be one of the most important aspects of architecture. However, there is more to a building than simply how it looks from the street. The purpose of spending time refining the aesthetics of buildings is to allow them to strike a chord with our emotions.

During 2021, the construction industry was hit by constant disruption and uncertainty. The news across our sector has been dominated by a mix of supply chain problems, rising costs of building materials, climate change adaptability, and labour shortages.

Our towns and cities continue to face problems caused by global warming, such as overheating, air pollution, surface flooding and a lack of biodiversity.

We are delighted that the St Nicholas SEN school has been awarded the LABC regional winner for the Best Public or Community Building, within the non-residential section. We had the pleasure of working on this project & we are delighted that it’s been recognised in this way!
